Delete Your Doughsense Account¶
Permanent Action
Account deletion is permanent and cannot be undone. All your data will be permanently removed.
How to Delete Your Account¶
Method 1: From the Doughsense App¶
- Open the Doughsense app on your iPhone or iPad
- Tap the Profile tab at the bottom
- Scroll down to Account Management
- Tap Delete Account
- Read the warning message
- Confirm by tapping Delete Account again
- Your account will be deleted immediately
- Sign in to Doughsense at doughsense.app
- Click your Profile tab
- Scroll to Account Management
- Click Delete Account
- Confirm deletion in the dialog
- Your account will be deleted immediately
- Open the Doughsense app on your Android device
- Tap the Profile tab
- Scroll to Account Management
- Tap Delete Account
- Confirm deletion
- Your account will be deleted immediately
Method 2: Email Request¶
If you cannot access the app, you can request account deletion via email:
Email: support@doughsense.app
Subject: Account Deletion Request
Include:
- The email address associated with your account
- A statement confirming you want to delete your account
We will process your request within 72 hours and send confirmation when complete.
What Gets Deleted¶
When you delete your Doughsense account, we permanently remove:
Personal Information¶
- ✅ Email address
- ✅ Name and profile information
- ✅ Authentication credentials
- ✅ Device identifiers
Financial Data¶
- ✅ All accounts (bank, credit cards, investments, etc.)
- ✅ Transaction history
- ✅ Budget configurations
- ✅ Financial goals and plans
- ✅ Net worth tracking data
- ✅ Cash flow projections
- ✅ Custom categories and tags
App Data¶
- ✅ App preferences and settings
- ✅ Subscription information
- ✅ Usage analytics linked to your account
- ✅ Export history
Data Retention Policy¶

Important Considerations¶
Before You Delete
- Export your data: Use the export feature to download your financial data
- Cancel subscriptions: Active subscriptions will be cancelled
- Save important information: Once deleted, we cannot recover your data
Subscription Cancellation¶
If you have an active subscription:
- iOS: Subscription will be cancelled through Apple
- Android: Subscription will be cancelled through Google Play
- Web: Subscription will be cancelled through Stripe
- You will retain access until the end of your current billing period
Account Recovery¶
- Account deletion is permanent and irreversible
- We cannot recover deleted accounts or data
- You can create a new account with the same email address after deletion
- A new account will start fresh with no previous data
Alternative: Pause Your Account¶
If you're unsure about permanent deletion, consider these alternatives:
- Remove sensitive data: Delete specific accounts or transactions while keeping your account
- Uninstall the app: Simply remove the app without deleting your account
- Cancel subscription: Your subscription will be cancelled but your data is preserved. You can resubscribe anytime to regain access
